Again, Gunmen Abduct Two Men In Ondo, Demand N15m Ransom

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Some unknown gunmen have struck again in Ondo State as they abducted a farmer, Ismaila Ojapa, and a labourer at Oke Oge at Oba-Ile, Akure North Local Government Area of the state.

Sources disclosed that the abductees were waylaid by the armed men while returning from the farm located near Akure Airport on Saturday evening.

Confirming the incident, state Corps Commander of Ondo State Security Network otherwise known as Amotekun Corps, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye said he has deployed his men to trail the gunmen and rescue the victims.

He said: “I can confirm to you that we are on top of the situation. They were kidnapped while returning from the farm.

“Our men have been deployed to rescue them from the kidnapers’ den.”

A source from the family of the farmer disclosed that the gunmen have contacted the families of the victims and demanded N15M million for their release.

The source disclosed the name of the farmer as Ismaila Ojapa, but didn’t know the name of the second victim.

He said: “The farmer is Ismaila Ojapa but I don’t know the name of the labourer who was with him.

But the kidnappers have called and are demanding for N15million from us before they can release them.”
