Air Peace launches Heathrow flights, cuts London return fare to ₦1m
Air Peace Airlines on Sunday officially commenced flight operations to London’s Heathrow Airport, with a major fare reduction offering round-trip tickets from Nigeria to London for as low as ₦1 million starting in August.
The airline also announced plans to begin direct flights from Abuja to both Heathrow and Gatwick airports in London, effective October 26, 2025. With this move, Air Peace becomes the first Nigerian carrier to offer direct services from Abuja to both of London’s major international gateways.
In a statement issued by Air Peace spokesperson Mr. Efe Osifo-Whiskey, the airline said passengers travelling from any of its domestic destinations can now book connecting flights to London via Abuja on a single ticket. This, he said, will eliminate the need for multiple bookings and baggage re-checks.
He further disclosed that travellers flying from London to Nigeria will enjoy seamless onward connections to Lagos, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Benin, Warri, Owerri, Kano, Yola, Gombe, and Asaba—all through Abuja. More domestic destinations will be added in due course.
“This provides a distinct competitive advantage, enabling passengers to travel between Nigeria and the United Kingdom with greater ease, efficiency, and value,” Osifo-Whiskey said. “Passengers can now choose from multiple Nigerian cities for their entry and exit points.”
He also highlighted the generous baggage allowance offered on the London routes, as part of the airline’s effort to increase accessibility and comfort for travellers.
Osifo-Whiskey noted that Air Peace has consistently challenged the status quo in African aviation and remains committed to pioneering transformative routes. He described the new Abuja–London service as a major milestone.
“This latest offer—round-trip fares starting from just ₦1 million, along with unmatched domestic connectivity—is yet another bold step in democratising international air travel for Nigerians,” he said.
