Anybody thinking of assassinating Peter Obi is sick – Southeast youths
Southeast youths have warned those planning to assassinate the Presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi to know that they do not have monopoly of violence.
The youths, under the aegis of The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) said nobody should think that he or she had a monopoly of violence.
COSEYL, in a statement issued by its President-General, Goodluck Ibem, stated that the fact they were peaceful did not mean that they were weak or senseless.
The group said Obi, as a bonafide citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and born in Nigeria had the constitutional right to contest for any political office he deemed fit and that nobody could stop that.
They added that anyone who thought of attacking him “is sick and the sickness will be treated appropriately at the right time.
“Only a wicked and idiotic person will be comfortable with the current state of the nation. Our country is in dire need of a drastic change that will turn things for good and some people are plotting to make matters worse because of their selfish agenda.”
According to COSEYL, these criminals should know that even a mad man is owned by some people and that if anyone touched him thinking that as a mad man roaming on the street, he had nobody, his real owners would come out to defend him.
