Three serving governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday visited the Ibadan home of Rashidi Ladoja, a former governor of Oyo State.

Chairman of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, led Jigawa State Governor, Abubakar Badaru and Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu – who is Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF), and others on the visit.

The APC leaders declined to speak with newsmen at the end of their meeting with Ladoja, who is a bigwig in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but our correspondent gathered from impeccable sources that the meeting was aimed at wooing Ladoja into the APC.

A source close to the former governor who craved anonymity said though they were in the state for another purpose, they visited the former governor to discuss the future of APC in the state.

“They are in the state to discuss the future of APC. APC is not doing fine in Oyo. So they came to discuss the future of our party with Ladoja.

“As we speak, Ladoja has not identified himself with APC but they are working to ensure that he comes out publicly to declare himself as a member of APC,” he said.
