APC strategy committee meets Thursday
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Contact and Strategy Committee will meet on Thursday at the main hall of the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
A statement by the committee’s secretary, Chief Ikechi Emenike, said the Jigawa State Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar-led committee would deliberate on its mandate.
Expected at the meeting are present and past governors, National Assembly members and serving ministers, who are members of the committee.
The statement reads: “This meeting is expected to formerly kick-start the work of the committee. The nationwide committee is mandated to establish constructive engagements between critical stakeholders at various levels of the party with a view to enhance confidence in the party and deepen trust among party leaders; to conduct a needs assessment survey from party members and the general public and to recalibrate the statement of vision, mission and core values of the party to reflect current realities.
“Other assignments in the terms of reference of the committee include the development of strategies that will place the party in a vintage position in the public domain as well as to develop a timeline and framework for the implementation of the recommendations of the committee.”
