• To Be Given Win Young Person Of The Year Award

The All Progressives Congress (APC) youth wing has conferred the Young Person of the Year 2024 Award on Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s president. According to a statement by the National Youth Leader, Dr. Dayo Israel, Seyi Tinubu was recognised for his outstanding contributions to improving the welfare of others and making life meaningful to the less privileged.

Israel cited Seyi’s philanthropic efforts, particularly his response to the disaster in Borno State last December, as exemplary.  He noted that Seyi’s commitment to social good is evident in his consistent and impactful contributions over the years.

The APC youth leader praised Seyi’s leadership approach, emphasising collaboration and swift action. He highlighted Seyi’s recent visit to Maiduguri, where he donated over N500m to flood victims.

He said: “The APC National Youth Wing will honour Seyi Tinubu at an upcoming event, which recognises outstanding young leaders, who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to driving positive change in Nigeria.

“Seyi’s actions underscore a broader philosophy, using one’s platform for the greater good. His approach avoids grandstanding, focusing instead on meaningful and lasting contributions. In an era where influence is often equated with visibility, his preference for understated service sets him apart.

“As Nigeria navigates complex social and economic challenges, Young People like Seyi Tinubu remind us of the potential for individuals to drive change, not through power alone but through purpose and perseverance. His journey is not about perfection but progress, and it is this quiet resilience that continues to inspire hope in those he serves.”
