In his own way of celebrating the electoral victory of President Muhammadu Buhari, a youth leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State, Alhaji Nasiru Umar Gwallaga has slaughtered 16 camels and distributed the meat to the people.
The young politician made the sacrifice over the weekend shortly after rounding off a youth grand rally he organised to jubilate over the party’s victory explaining that the animals were sacrificed with a view to expressing gratitude to Allah for granting victory to Muhammadu Buhari over his main contender, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which would enable him to serve for another four years.
While speaking to journalists he explained that “I sacrificed the animals in order to show my gratitude to Allah for making it possible for Buhari to win the just concluded election with a landslide victory.
“If he was not re-elected, Nigeria would have lost a good leader who is putting the country on the path of progress. We in the northeast would have been the bad losers because of the number of projects he started here.”
The APC youth leader who expressed appreciation to the teeming youths in the state for re-electing Muhammadu Buhari during the last election appealed to them to also come out en mass on 9th March to vote the party’s governorship and State Assembly candidates.
