Borno youths beg President Tinubu to pardon and release suspended DCP Abba Kyari
A youth forum in Borno State has issued an appeal to President Tinubu, calling for the pardon and release of suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abba Kyari.
The forum stated that the detained police officer has contributed to the fight against banditry and insurgency in northern Nigeria.
DCP Abba Kyari, a prominent figure in the Nigerian Police Force, was suspended from duty following his indictment in a fraud case involving international fraudster Hushpuppi.
However, the youth forum in Borno State called for his pardon, citing his previous efforts in combating criminal activities in the region.
The forum acknowledged Kyari’s purported exploits and achievements in tackling banditry and insurgency, noting that his role in maintaining security and restoring peace in Borno State and beyond can not be overemphasized.
”His continued suspension could potentially undermine ongoing efforts to combat crime and protect communities from terrorist threats,” the forum stated.
Furthermore, the youth forum emphasized the need to recognize and appreciate the contributions of security personnel who risk their lives daily to safeguard the nation.
They argue that Kyari’s suspension could adversely affect morale within the security forces, potentially hindering their effectiveness in tackling security challenges.
