Gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State, Abba Kabiru Yusuf, is ahead of Nasir Gawuna, his All Progressives Congress (APC) rival, with over 10,000 votes in the nine Local Government Areas so far declared at the state collation center.
The LGAs are Rano, Rogo, Makoda, Kunchi, Wudil, Karaye, Tsanyawa, Minjibir and Albasu.
The NNPP has so far polled 153,103 votes while APC trails with 142,981, leaving a margin of 10,122.
NNPP has so far won 5 LGAs, while APC has emerged victorious in 4.
