Buhari supporters troop into streets, highway in Abuja with sticks

FOLLOWING the declaration of President Muhammadu Buhari by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC as the winner of last Saturday’s Presidential election, his supporters, Thursday trooped into the streets of the nation’s capital city, Abuja.

President Buhari’s supporters took over the streets to celebrate his victory.
Various parts of the Nation’s capital especially suburbs – Nyanya, Lugbe, Mpape, Kubwa and even parts of Wuse and Garki districts witnessed outpour of jubilant crowd that chanted “Sai baba, sai Buhari”

The supporters particularly took over the busy Umaru Yar’Adua road, carrying sticks, making vehicular movement impossible, just as they forced the passersby to shout sai Bubari as glasses of vehicles were smashed.

They were also seen riding various motor bikes, with up to four persons on each bike, some took over the pedestrian bridges.

At Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC Estate , Federal Housing Authority, FHA, Berger junction, Chika Kunchigoro, among others, all along the Umaru Yar’ Adua, the supporters who turned very violence, staged musical instruments, dancing alongside the Fulani women who came out to sell the local milk and millet( Fura and Nono).
