Chelsea manager not worried by Roman Abramovich sale despite ‘big news, big change’

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is not worried about the ownership situation surrounding the club.

The Blues are in the midst of an owner change, with Roman Abramovich set to divest his assets amid the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Abramovich has released a statement indicating he will sell the club in the coming days, while he will not be asking for more than a billion in loans that the club technically owes him.

Tuchel said the following on the matter after their 3-2 FA Cup win against Luton on Wednesday:

“I’m not so much worried as I still feel privileged and in a good place. I hope and trust for the best.

“I’m so much a person who worries about things I can’t influence. It’s big news and will be big change, but I am also never afraid of change and I’ll focus on what I can influence.

“This is the staff and team at Cobham.”
