Commotion as Evans the kidnapper won’t get off prison van
Suspected kidnapper Chukwudi Onuamadike popularly known as Evans refused to get off the prison van this morning before his court session.
A pandemonium was caused earlier this morning at the Igbosere high court, after the billionaire kidnapper refused to come down from prison van in which he was conveyed in to court.
He fought off prison wardens who tried to take him into the court house for his trial.
Later, the judge presiding over the case ordered that he should be bundled into the court and when he still refused to follow the warders, he was dragged into the court.
It had been alleged that Evans would kidnap family members of rich and wealthy in Nigeria and demand huge amounts of money in foreign currencies before they are released.
This had been said to be his main source of livelihood with his family who he lives with in Magodo area of Lagos.
He was apprehended by the police last year when one of his transaction was intercepted and has been in custody ever since.
There have been a few rumours that he had left the prison occasionally.
However, the police has debunked all the rumours stating clearly that he is still in their custody.
