Dance Event: Lagos to divert traffic for nine days on Lagos Island
The Lagos State government has announced a traffic diversion plan for the forthcoming Afropolis Dance Event. The event, which is organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, is scheduled to last for nine days, starting from Saturday, October 26, 2024, to Sunday, November 3, 2024, and will operate 24 hours daily.
Consequently, the Commissioner for Transport, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, stated that there will be a full road closure of J. Randle Road, Onikan Lagos, between Lagos City Mall and the National Museum before the Onikan Roundabout for the event.

“ Traffic from Outer Marina going to Awolowo Road will turn left into Force Road to link to Tafawa Balewa Road and connect to Old Defence Road to link Tafawa Balewa Square to Macarthy Street and to access Onikan Road to link to Awolowo Road to continue their journeys.
“Traffic from Third Mainland Bridge/Ring Road going to Awolowo Road will turn left into Force Road to link to Tafawa Balewa Road to connect to Old Defence Road to access Tafawa Balewa Square to link to Macarthy Street and connect to Onikan Road to link to Awolowo Road to continue their journeys.
