Davido hints on quitting music, gives reason

Popular Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke, otherwise known as Davido, says he plans to retire from the music industry before things turn sour.

Davido made the comments in a trending interview on social media sighted by Politics Nigeria.

The hits maker admitted that he is scared of losing the hype that comes with performing on stage with the audience’s participation.

While noting that everybody goes through different phases in their career, he vowed to retire from the music industry in a few years.

“The only thing I’m really scared of is that moment when people cry and go crazy when I get on stage. But it’s going to get to a point where it’s going to start slowing down in my career; everybody goes through it.

“I never want to get there. I always make a joke when talking with my friends; I’m going to retire before I turn sour.”
