There is disquiet over a billboard promoting a former governor of Benue State and current Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator George Akume, as national chairmanship aspirant of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The billboard is generating reactions among PDP members because it is placed right opposite the national secretariat of the leading opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Passersby have continued to look at the billboard of a frontline contender to the apex office of the ruling party being projected in front of the office of a rival political party.
The new national chairman of the PDP, Dr Iyorchia Ayu, who is from the same state with Akume, said recently that the minister would soon return to the PDP.
One of the members of the PDP, Ibu Thomas, wondered why Senator Akume’s national chairmanship campaign billboard would stand right opposite the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja.
