A Nigerian lady, Patricia Masithela, visiting a male friend in Latina, Italy has been killed by dogs as she visited her friend.
According to a report by the Mirror newspaper of the United Kingdom, the 27-year-old lady was originally from Nigeria.
According to the Mirror, the incident occurred late Monday night when Masithela visited the male acquaintance at his derelict villa in the Lazio region.
Her chilling screams were reported to have pierced the night as neighbours were alerted to the savage attack.
Masithela, who relocated to Lazio from Nigeria, had reportedly gone to the house unaware that her friend was not at home.
After being attacked, she was discovered critically injured, lying in a pool of blood with deep wounds across her body.
Police intervened by shooting two of the dogs to allow emergency services to reach the scene.
The rest of the pack fled after the gunfire.
Medics provided immediate emergency treatment and rushed her to Santa Maria Goretti Hospital.
Despite their efforts, Masithela succumbed to the severe bite wounds and excessive blood loss.
She was described as a devoted mother to a five-year-old daughter.
