Doom may befall Kyiv as Russia’s approaching convoy stretches 64km
Doom seems to await Kyiv, Ukrainian capital as convoy of approaching Russian Forces stretches 40 miles (64.37km).
Satellite imagery company Maxar Technology said early Tuesday that earlier reports indicating the column of Russian armour advancing on Kyiv is 17 miles (27km) long were inaccurate.
It now said the convoy actually stretched about 40 miles.
The company added that new images also showed ground troops and attack helicopters in southern Belarus, less than 20 miles from the Ukraine border.
Maxar told CNN earlier Monday the large military convoy consisted of armored vehicles, tanks, towed artillery and other logistical vehicles.
He attributed the updated convoy length to additional satellite imagery they collected and analyzed.
Maxar said data and imagery taken Monday showed the convoy stretches from the Antonov airbase — about 17 miles from Kyiv’s city center — to just north of Pribyrsk, Ukraine.
