Drama as Reps-elect chant ‘battle ready’




Members-elect of the House of Representatives are turning up in the chamber, with Mr James Faleke, one of those leading the campaign of the speakership candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, coordinating the new lawmakers.

He also led them in chanting, “Gbaja! Wase! Gbaja! Wase!”

Mr Idris Wase is the APC candidate for Deputy Speaker.

A new lawmaker also chanted, “Battle!” Others responded, “Ready!”

Some of the members-elect were accompanied by their spouses into the chamber.  (Punch)
