The Director of Public Relations and Strategic Communications in the Department of State Services (DSS) national headquarters in Abuja, Dr. Peter Afunanya, has been redeployed.
Afunanya announced this to reporters at a media briefing yesterday in Abuja.
The spokesman did not say where he was deployed to.
He expressed appreciation to the service for the opportunity to serve the country as its spokesman in the past 10 years.
Afunanya restated his commitment to the service and to the country, pledging to always do his best in whatever capacity he is chosen to serve.
He promised to continue to carry out his duty in the service of the country with “love, loyalty, honour, and glory”.
Last Thursday, the newly appointed Director General of the DSS, Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi, assumed office with a pledge to refocus the service towards covertness and studied silence.
The new DG also pledged commitment to surmount challenges confronting Nigeria’s economic, political and security environments.
