Real Sociedad are on the brink of making an amazing signing. According to ‘The Sun’ the Basque team have Edinson Cavani in their sights. Although ‘El Matador’ has a number of offers on the table, his preferred destination is La Liga.
Edinson Cavani has not featured much in the United team this season. With Ronaldo’s arrival he was understandably pushed out of the regular starting eleven.
His contract expires in June and the Uruguayan is considering his next destination. The English press has reported that he wants to return to Spain. ‘The Sun’ has revealed that Cavani will be playing for Real Sociedad in the 2022/23 season.
This source assures that Cavani is ready to make the move to the Reale Arena. As soon as the La Liga side came knocking, ‘El Matador’ did not have to think twice about making the move.
According to sources close to Cavani, the footballer has already had conversations with the Basque club.
Real have seemingly beaten River Plate in the race for Cavani, who were until recently his favoured destination. Inter are also interested in the Uruguayan but it looks as though Cavani’s mind is already made up.
They are already envisaging a future without Cavani at United. Other first team players are also looking to leave. It is expected that the team will see a wholesale change ahead of next season.
