Ekiti guber: Dayo Adeyeye quits PDP
Prince Dayo Adeyeye, a contestant for the governorship seat of Ekiti State under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says he is leaving the party.
The former minister, who came second in the PDP governorship primaries on Tuesday with 771 votes, said he could not work with the governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, whom he alleged imposed his deputy as the party’s candidate in the July 14 governorship election.
Adeyeye, who addressed newsmen in Ado-Ekiti, on Thursday, also denied cursing the Governor Fayose after he (Adeyeye) lost to incumbent deputy governor, Olusola Eleka during the party’s primary.
Adeyeye, however, did not mention the new party he would be heading to.
“I didn’t curse Fayose on phone as the governor alleged . I only told him I will no longer work with him,” he said.
