Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, Inc, an American electric vehicle and clean energy company,and Grimes, his celebrity girlfriend, have welcomed their second child together.
The Canadian singer, whose real name is Claire Boucher, broke the news in an interview with Vanity Fair, the UK-based magazine.
During the interview, the 33-year-old was asked if she had a new baby with Musk.
“I’m not at liberty to speak on these things,” she replied, initially hesitating to divulge news of their new baby.
“Whatever is going on with family stuff, I just feel like kids need to stay out of it, and X is just out there.”
But when pressed further, the singer confessed she had a baby girl in December via surrogate.
She also disclosed that the baby’s name is Exa Dark Sideræl Musk — adding that she is simply called Y.
Musk and Grimes met in 2018 during a Twitter trend and have since continued with their relationship.
In May 2020, they welcomed — X Æ A-12 — their first child together.
The news of their second baby comes amid rumoured cracks between the pair.
When asked if they are still together during the interview, Grimes said: “There’s no real word for it. I would probably refer to him (Musk) as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid.
“We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time…. We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it.”
The singer said she and the billionaire are happy together, adding that they plan to have more children together in the future.
“We’ve always wanted at least three or four,” she added.
