Elon Musk Is One Of The Most Dangerous Men On Earth And Should Be Stopped, Says Former Scottish Leader Yousaf
Former Scottish leader Humza Yousaf has described Elon Musk as “one of the most dangerous men on the planet”.
In a video posted on his official X page on Thursday, the former First Minister of Scotland accused Elon Musk of plotting to overthrow UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Rodney Starmer.
Yousaf’s accusations come amid controversial actions and comments from Musk, who recently faced criticism for aligning with far-right figures and promoting anti-Muslim sentiments.
In recent times, Elon Musk via his social media platform, X, expressed his enthusiasm in UK politics since the Labour Party was elected in July.
The US businessman had called for a new election and demanded Starmer be imprisoned.
For instance, on Monday he posted an online poll for his 210 million followers on the proposition: “America should liberate the people of Britain from their tyrannical government.”
He is also known for often retweeting criticism of Starmer and the hashtag TwoTierKeir – shorthand for an unsubstantiated claim that Britain has “two-tier policing” with far-right protesters treated more harshly than pro-Palestinian or Black Lives Matter demonstrators.
Musk also concentrated on child sexual assault, particularly a string of instances that shook northern England towns, in which groups of men, mostly of Pakistani descent, were tried for grooming and abusing scores of girls.
Reacting, British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer also accused Elon Musk, of spreading “lies and misinformation” against his government.
The British leader mentioned this on Monday, describing Musk’s recent comments as inaccuracies targeted to undermine British democracy.
According to Yousaf, Musk’s recent behaviour reflects a global trend of powerful individuals leveraging their platforms to normalize prejudice and create division.
The former Scottish leader said: “Elon Musk needs to be stopped. This isn’t just about one tweet or one individual. It’s about a pattern we are seeing globally, where powerful individuals with massive platforms are amplifying harmful rhetoric. They’re normalizing prejudice and all to create division and spread disinformation.
“Last summer after he farmed the racial intolerance here in the UK, I warned that Elon Musk was one of the most dangerous men on the planet.
“Everything that he has done since then has only that view. Not only has he used his vast billions to muscle his way into the White House, but he is also now attempting to subvert democracy by trying to overthrow the democratically elected prime minister of the UK.
“But what is motivating Musk? Worriedly, it is his far-right sympathies driven by anti-Muslim hatred that seems to be the driving force for the world’s wealthiest man.
“He supports Tommy Robertson, a man who called Islam a violent fascist ideology. Musk supports Geert Wilders, who has called for the Quran to be banned, comparing it to Mein Kampf and he supports the AFG in Germany, a party that has an entire chapter of their manifestoes tilted ‘Islam does not belong to Germany.’”
“If Elon Musk had been around in the 1930s, his actions and rhetoric suggest he might well have been amplifying the dangerous far-right populism of that time, just as he does today,” he warned.
“And of course, history has taught us the catastrophic consequences of allowing hatred against a community to go unchecked. Ignoring Musk and the far right is not an option. We need to take them on and we must confront the divisive rhetoric.”
