Award-winning actress Funke Akindele’s movie “Everybody Loves Jenifa” has made history as the highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time, raking in a whopping N1.466 billion and counting at the Nigerian box office.

This achievement solidifies Akindele’s dominance in the Nigerian film industry, with her films consistently topping the box office charts since 2020.

Akindele’s previous films have also broken records in the past.

Her 2020 film “Omo Ghetto: The Saga” grossed N636,129,120, while her 2021 film “Battle on Buka Street” earned N668,423,056.

Her 2023 film “A Tribe Called Judah” became the first Nollywood movie to cross the N1 billion mark, making N1,404,187,806.

“Everybody Loves Jenifa” is a spin-off of the popular Jenifa franchise, which has been entertaining audiences since 2008.

The movie explores fresh challenges for the main character, Jenifa, as she faces a new rival who threatens her charity work and popularity.

The film features a star-studded cast, including Patience Ozukwor, Jide Kosoko, and Falz, it’s no wonder the movie has resonated with audiences.
