Ex-England manager, Eriksson died £8 million in debt – Report

Former England and Manchester City manager, Sven-Goran Eriksson reportedly died £8 million in debt with his house now up for sale.

Eriksson died from pancreatic cancer last August aged 76.

His estate has now been published which shows that he died with 118 million kronor(£8.6m) in debt.

According to Swedish newspaper Gotesborg-Posten, the document shows at the time of his death shows there were 66 million kronor of assets.

Per the UK Sun, the estate inventory also shows that he had debts totaling 118 million kronor.

This means that the estate has a deficit of just over 51 million kronor (£3.7m), reports the Mirror.

His lakeside property on a secluded estate in Sunne, Sweden, has been made available for around £1.8million.

Eriksson paid £420,000 for the late-19th century home in 2002 when he was Three Lions chief and his partner was Italian lawyer Nancy Dell’Olio.

Preparations to sell his seven-bedroom home, which has a private beach, began in September.

The property valued at about £3m in the last decade has fallen to almost half of that figure.

The home, covering 835 square metres, has multiple reception rooms and a library.

A 250-square metre poolhouse sits outside, along with a saltwater pool, spa, sauna, jacuzzi, gym and relaxation area.
