Fire incident at late former Governor Alao-Akala’s residence in Oyo state leaves 2 injured
A fire outbreak yesterday at the residence of the late former Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, has resulted in injuries to at least two individuals.
Ismail Adeleke, the Director of Operations at the Oyo State Fire Service, confirmed the incident, stating that the service received a distress call around 8:30 a.m. from Tolu Ikusagba, the Managing Director of Parrot101.1FM, Ogbomoso.
While the exact cause of the fire remains undetermined, the fire service swiftly responded, managing to extinguish the fire and prevent its further spread.
Adeleke mentioned that one of the injured persons suffered severe injuries, and the service will provide further updates on the incident.
An eyewitness, speaking anonymously to the News Agency of Nigeria, attributed the fire to a gas explosion. The eyewitness indicated that the incident led to the death of one person, although this fatality was yet to be officially confirmed.
Moreover, the eyewitness mentioned that the two individuals who sustained injuries during the fire outbreak were promptly taken to the hospital for urgent medical treatment.
