Moyosore Ogunlewe, the chairman of Kosofe LGA in Lagos, has secured a second term ticket after winning the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election.
The primary election took place on Saturday at the party’s secretariat on Acme Road, Ikeja.
Ogunlewe won the poll unopposed after other candidates withdrew from the race to support him.
Also, Usman Hamzat, the chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye LG, also won in the primary, setting the stage for his participation in the local government elections scheduled for July 12.
The elections will be held across Lagos’ 20 LGAs and 37 Local council development areas (LCDAs).
Other council heads who won in the primary include Olalekan Aroyewu of Igbogbo, Rossini Oluyemisi of Ojokoro, Akindipe Olamilekan of Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Okeowo Oluremi of Ifelodun, Yusuf Sule of Surulere, and Ogidan Azeez of Coker-Aguda.
Also on the list are Tola Oyedele of Agboyi-Ketu, Taoheed Taiwo of Ejigbo, Muibi Alade of Lagos Island-East, Sanusi Ismail of Amuwo-Odofin, Rufai Muibat of Ojo, Taiwo Oyekan of Lagos Island, Wale Ameen of Ikorodu-North, and Samsideen Agunbiade of Eti-Osa East.
Others are Hunkpe Babatunde of Badagry, Sura Olayemi Animashaun of Epe, Olasoju Adebayo Babatunde of Isolo, Sesan Olowa of Ibeju-Lekki, Anomo Adewale of Ikosi-Ejirin, Ibrahim Rauf of Badagry-West, Ladega Adedayo of Ikorodu, and Rasak Oloyede of Oriade.
More winners include Abiodun Akinola of Orile-Agege, Ashimi Lateef of Shomolu, Bada Abolanle of Ikosi-Isheri, Oloyede Kehinde of Oshodi-Isolo, Sunday Benson of Imota, Kazeem Sulaimon of Ikorodu-West, Sebanjo Idowu of Apapa, Ajose Peter of Olorunda LCDA, Ismail Monsuru of Eredo, Opeyemi Akindele of Mosan-Okunola, Agbaje Abiodun of Ayobo-Ipaja, and Akinpelu Ibrahim of Alimosho.
