Full power supply restored in Abuja, as TCN complete relocation of 8 towers


The electricity distribution in parts of the Federal Capital Territory has been restored following the completion of relocation of
eight 132kV and 33kV towers along the Kukwaba/Apo 132kV transmission line.

The company on a statement by its spokesperson, Ndidi Mbah said there is now a complete restoration of power to the 132/33kV Apo transmission substation.

This bulk restoration indicates the complete resumption of electricity distribution to the affected locations.

Mbah had on behalf of the TCN informed FCT residents of the relocation process which commenced on January 3.

According to the TCN, the relocation of the towers were inevitable following the dualization of the road project by the FCT Development Authority.

It also stated that the process would commence on January 6 and end on January 20, between 9 am and 4pm daily.
