But Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, the famous politician known as Yayi, has refused to take any side.

The Senator representing Ogun West has consistently branded Abiodun as his leader and pledged his unblemished loyalty at every turn in the race to becoming the leading aspirant in determining the next Governor of Ogun State.

He shared his thoughts about Daniel, who represents Ogun East, in the birthday message he posted on April 6, 2025.

“Your life has been one of remarkable public service, visionary leadership, and enduring commitment to the growth and development of Ogun State and Nigeria at large. From your days as Executive Governor of our dear state to your current role in the Senate, you have continued to demonstrate wisdom, patriotism, and an unwavering dedication to the people,” Yayi wrote in a personally signed message, and added, “As you celebrate this new chapter, I pray that the Almighty continues to bless you with good health, renewed strength, and greater grace to keep serving our nation.”

Yayi

While Senator Yayi is working to become the next Governor of Ogun State and has emerged as the frontrunner aspirant, Daniel and Abiodun are locked in a supremacy tussle — with who occupies the Ogun East Senatorial seat in the next political dispensation as one of the major points of contention.

Daniel, Yayi, and Abiodun are all members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
