Conservative activist Candace Owens is tearing Americans apart following her opinion on George Floyd.

While detailing Floyd’s criminal history, Candace stated that he “is neither a martyr or a hero”

She gave her opinion in a now-viral Facebook live video titled “Confession: I DO NOT support George Floyd and I refuse to see him as a martyr”.

Below are the statements made by Candace Owens about George Floyd and Black Lives Matter:

Candace Owens said: “I do not support George Floyd and the media’s depiction of him as a martyr for black America.”

“it has been weighing very heavily on my heart and on my mind,” she added, “there was so much pressure for me to go with the popular opinion about who George Floyd was.

“We are being sold a lot of lies at the detriment to the black community, at the detriment to the white community, and at the detriment to America as a whole.

“Our culture is unique from other communities because we are the only community that caters to the bottom denominator of our society.

“Not every black American is a criminal. Not every black American is committing crimes.

“But we are unique in that we are the only people that fight and scream and demand support for the people in our community that are up to no good.”

Taking a poke at George Floyd’s criminal past, she added, “you would be hard-pressed to find a Jewish person who has spent five stints in prison, who commits a crime and dies while committing a crime and that the Jewish people demand justice for.

“You would be hard-pressed to find this in white America… even in Latino America.

“What I am saying is not any defense for Derek Chauvin [the white cop who kneeled on Floyd’s neck].

“The family of George Floyd deserves justice for the way that he died.

“But I also am not going to accept the narrative that this is the best the black community has to offer.

“It is something I find despicable.

“George Floyd was not an amazing person. George Floyd is being upheld as an amazing human being.”

She claimed that Floyd was high at the time of his death, and detailed his criminal history.

“For whatever reason, it has become fashionable over the last five or six years for us to turn criminals into heroes overnight.

Owens added: “Everyone is pretending that this man lived a heroic lifestyle.

“We are embarrassing in that regard.

“Nobody wants to tell the truth in black America. Our biggest problem is us.”

She ended the scathing vid by saying: “I have no apologies to make.

“George Floyd is not my martyr. He can be yours.”

The controversial commentator also tweeted: “Black lives only matter to white liberals, every 4 years, ahead of an election.

“I’m so sorry to those of you that thought otherwise.”

However, many backed Candice Owens over her comments while some lashed out at her.

Piers Morgan was among the many to show their disapproval of her comments.

“I’m immediately unfollowing people who are sharing Candace Owen’s rant on George Floyd not being a martyr. They’re exposing their true colors, a Twitter user also stated.

Harriet Sergeant said: “Brave and controversial,@RealCandaceO asks why we turn a career criminal who pointed a gun at the stomach of a pregnant woman into a martyr. ‘I refuse to accept #GeorgeFloyd was an amazing person.’ You may disagree but a must-listen.”

“Candance Owen is incredibly forthright and brave as the voice of black conservatism. She always speaks sense. She also gets a lot of abuse from liberals and democrats. She has even been accused of being a Nazi,” another Twitter user stated.

Who is Candace Owen?
According to Sunday Times, Candace Owens, 31, is a right-wing commentator described as media-savvy.

She was once an unknown political vlogger.

She is well known to be one of President Donald Trump’s “most prominent cheerleaders and pals of the first family”, the Times explains.

She has endeared herself to Trump by attacking anyone who dares to criticize or mock him.

For example, when the infamous “Trump baby” balloon was flown over London for his UK visit, Owens hit out at the capital’s mayor, Sadiq Khan.

She tweeted: “Please remind @SadiqKhan that according to the birth rate, Europe will fall and become a Muslim majority continent by 2050.”

Owens founded Blexit, a campaign to persuade African-Americans and other minorities to abandon the Democrats.

She urged them to become registered Republicans instead.

Her goal for Blexit is to “challenge Black Americans to consider what Trump actually asked of (them).”

Owens said: “The black community are starting to realize that we’re being manipulated by no good politicians who knock on our door every four years and promise us free stuff.

“Then they get our votes and nothing changes.”

Owens grew up in public housing in Stamford, Connecticut.

Her father a property manager, while her mother stayed at home.

The Times says that, at one stage, she moved in with her grandfather to escape her family’s “cr***y, infested” flat.

After cops investigated racist death threats teenage boys left on her mobile phone her parents won a lawsuit against the city and received a $37,500 payout.

Owens had hopes of becoming a journalist but failed to complete her degree. Instead, she joined Vogue for a stint at the famous mag, before moving into finance. (The Sun UK)
