Vector, Yomi Casual, Cardi B, and 50 Cent are among the celebrities who have reacted to Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 US presidential election.

Trump defeated Vice-President Kamala Harris of the Democratic Party on Wednesday to win the election.

The Republican Party’s presidential candidate’s win sparked a wave of reactions on social media. While some celebrities congratulated the newly elected US president, others were dissatisfied with the election results.

In a post on his Instastory, Yomi Casual, the celebrity fashion designer, advised Nigerians to “go renew your US visa before swearing in”.

However, the social media celebrity VeryDarkMan expressed joy that Trump won the election. He also argued that Harris “does not know her left from the right”.

Charly Boy declared his support for Harris while describing the election as a judgement day that the rest of the world is looking to.

Rapper Vector tackled Nigerians for “showing solidarity with the election process in nations” that he claimed does not treat them right.

Davido faced intense criticism on social media after sharing a photo of himself as a first-time voter in the US.

Some US celebrities also took to social media to congratulate the newly elected president.

In an Instagram post, rapper 50 Cent shared a photo of him and Trump, while congratulating the politician.

“I don’t care how the fight goes, I’m leaving with the winner. I still don’t know what’s going on, congratulations!” he wrote.

Cardi B, on the other hand, shared a video of herself watching the election results with the caption: “I hate you all bad.”

She also commended Harris for “running your race with honesty and integrity”.

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis said Trump’s win means “a return to a more restrictive, draconian time,” adding that “minority groups will now be more afraid”. (The Cable)
