A non-political pressure group, the Christian Conscience Group, has commended the ongoing military efforts against terrorism in some parts of the country.

It said the anti-terrorism fight is more impactful and highly commendable, adding that the tempo should be improved and sustained.

The group spoke during its monthly meeting in Ikeja.

In a press statement jointly signed by the National Chairman, Mrs Yetunde Akinluyi and National General Secretary, Dr Kolawole Verrals, and made available to journalists by its National Director of Publicity, Tunji Oguntuase, the group said, “The lingering efforts of these terrorists have contributed to the shortage of foods, high cost of living in the country and hindering movements of people, goods and services. When farmers and all partakers in the food chain are being harmed, how will the food be available for all?

“Now that the military high command has responded positively to the body language of the President, we believe better days are ahead because there has been too much shedding of innocent blood in the country.”
