Gunmen have killed a family of five in Lighitlubang village in Bungha District of Mangu local government of Plateau State.
Our correspondent gathered that the family consisted of a man, his wife, and a child with another man and wife all slaughtered.
There is currently high tension in Mangu local government over the development as the gunmen attacked other villagers in different locations.
“On Monday, 27/01/2025, some women went to fetch firewood at about 9:00 a.m.; the terrorists also killed Mrs Tabitha Yusuf while other women escaped with body injuries,” a source told The Guardian.
“From Monday, January 27 till this Saturday, February 1st, no fewer than 10 people were cruelly murdered by the same suspected militia.
“It was confirmed by the police who witnessed the attacks in Mangu.”
