A new study has put Nigeria as Africa’s second most promiscuous country and the 40th in the world in respect of sleeping around.

South Africa with a well-known reputation for promiscuousness is number one on the list and 10th in the world.

The research conducted by NapLab put Australia as the world’s most promiscuous country with 65% of the population there seeing nothing wrong in having sex before marriage. Only 16% of Nigerians see nothing wrong with premarital sex.

Remarkably, an average Australian will sleep with 13.3 persons in his or her lifetime. The figure for Nigeria was not made available. An average South African according to the report sleeps with 12.5 persons in a lifetime.

NapLab compiled data from diverse  sources looking at national sexually transmitted infection rates, a country’s attitudes toward premarital sex and the average number of sex partners, among other criteria.

According to the report an average US citizen has slept with more than 10 people in the course of their lifetime.

The US is on equal terms with Canada, which gets an average of 10.7 bedroom partners.

The report also showed that an average Nigerian lost their virginity at 19.7 years while the earliest age people get introduced to sex is in Iceland where people start sleeping around at 15.6 years.

The average Australian loses their virginity at 17.8 years whereas it was 18 years for Americans.
