Former U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton endorsed Joe Biden’s White House bid on Tuesday.
But the endorsement came with a jab at incumbent Donald Trump.
“I want to add my voice to the many who have endorsed you to be our president,” Clinton said during a live video conference with the former vice president.
“Think of what it would mean if we had a real president not just somebody who plays one on TV,” she added.
It was a well-aimed jab at fumbling President Donald Trump, Mr. Biden’s expected opponent in November.
Biden called Clinton a “friend” and thanked her for the “wonderful personal endorsement.”
Earlier House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also endorsed Biden, calling him a “voice of reason and resilience” amid the coronavirus pandemic.
