Kingsley Moghalu, the presidential candidate of Young Progressives Party (YPP), has said that he will turn Nigeria from a broken country to a nation, adding that he has the physical and intellectual capacities to beat incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari, All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, and Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming presidential election.
Moghalu, who is a former deputy governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), said that it was obvious that the recycled old politicians had failed and that was why Nigeria was the poverty capital of the world and the people are yearning for change.
The politician, who spoke in Lagos, noted that the time has come for someone who has vision, someone like him to rule the country. He said that he would beat Buhari, Atiku Abubakar and other candidates because he has a superior message, pointing out that he has been talking to citizens at the grassroots.
He said, “Nigeria today is not a nation. It is a country and a broken country. I know how to build nations; Nigeria needs to become a nation. I came to the table with experience, expertise and a track record of success in economic leadership in management. I was a deputy governor of central bank.
“I have the practical and conceptual knowledge of how to turn Nigeria from a poor country to a country where the average citizen will be taken out of poverty, over four years or eight years,” he said.
The presidential candidate said that he came with knowledge, experience and track record of international diplomacy, noting that there was no other candidate who had the combination of experience that he has.
