Jason Njoku, CEO of IrokoTV, has been discharged from the hospital as he continues to recover from COVID-19 at home.

The IrokoTV boss took to his Twitter page to break the news on Saturday.

He also shared a picture of himself standing on his feet looking fit, alongside another where he was sitting in a wheelchair.

Njoku described the novel disease as “vicious and relentless”, adding that he could barely walk after contracting the virus.

He, however, thanked God that he is fast recuperating. He also disclosed that he is now resting at home as he works towards full recovery.

“24th Oct & 7th Nov. Finally leaving the hospital. Can barely walk more than 10m a time but I’m now resting at home. COVID-19 is vicious, relentless and made me the most unwell I have ever been in my life. A long recovery ahead. But we thank God,” he wrote.

In October, Njoku had revealed that he contracted the disease alongside his wife after the results of their tests came out positive.

TheCable Lifestyle had reported how he was thereafter placed on oxygen support during which he shared a photo of himself plugged onto a ventilator.

Njoku had launched IrokoTV in 2011. The platform web-based provides paid-for Nigerian films on demand.  (The Cable)
