I’ve done my best… vote for Ighodalo for continuity – Obaseki tells Edo residents
Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo says the people of the state should vote for Asue Ighodalo, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to continue with his work.
Speaking on Monday at the party’s governorship campaign rally in Egor LGA of the state, Obaseki said he has done his best for Edo.
“I have done my best. Ighodalo and Ogie will continue from November 12. We want progress. We want to move forward and not backwards,” the governor said.
“Looking at the people here, you see a lot of youths. I am not surprised because Egor is the home of youths. We have the University of Benin and the Benin Technical College.
“September 21 is the most important election in Edo state. Don’t make the mistake. For the sake of continuity, it must be PDP or PDP. Ighodalo is youth-friendly. All the lawyers in his company are youths.
“I have known him for 40 years, and he is very brilliant. So, make no mistake on September 21 because all the works in Egor local government were too important to be allowed to stop.”
Also speaking, the PDP candidate said he would move the state forward by harnessing the potential of youths and resources.
“We will work to bring out the creative potential of our youths in a way that will benefit all. It is time to move forward,” Ighodalo said.
“Ogie and I are very ready to work for you all. So, do not fear; do not worry; we are for you all.
“Prosperity has come for all. Just go out on the 21st and vote for PDP and protect your votes.”
Tony Aziegbemi, chairman of the PDP in Edo, thanked the crowd for supporting Ighodalo and appealed to them to come out on election day.
