Five years after releasing its first film ‘Joker,’ the sequel ‘Joker 2’ will be hitting the big screens on October 4, 2024.
This is according to an exclusive report by Deadline.
The sequel to the mega-hit comic book will be released on the fifth anniversary of the first film. This is coming hours after Warner Bros Discovery says it would not be releasing Batgirl.
The movie when it was released in October 2019 had a big opening weekend at the box office which stood at $96.2 million. It legged out to $335.4M domestic and globally it is the highest-grossing R-rated movie ever at $1.07 billion.
Moreso, Joker won two Oscars; Best Actor for the lead actor, Joaquin Phoenix and Original Music Score for Hildur Guðnadóttir’s. The movie was nominated for 11 Oscars including Best Picture and Phillips for Best Director.
