May His Soul Rest In Solemn Peace. Amen. The U. S Ambassador, Walter Carrington, will definitely be remembered, as one individual, who kind-heartedly stood firmly, with the Nigerian Human Rights activists, during the dictator Abacha’s debacles / reign of mayhem. He stood against the unjust, inhuman imprisonment of Gani Fawehinmi, the authentic, pro-democracy legal luminary of the finest order. Ambassador Walter Carrington was one incontestably pro-democracy Ambassador, from his heart. He loved the Nigerian people & stood with them in their struggles against social, political and economic oppressions. Adieu, our very humble, humane Ambassador, Adieu.
