Kwara Governor, Abdulrazaq Asks Teachers To Submit Bank Statements
The Kwara state government under Mallam Abdulraham Abdulrazaq has began another screening for SUBEB Teachers , making it the 3rd Screenings since his coming to government in 2019.
But this Screening according to the Insiders seems so Awkward from the rest . This time , Each of the Teachers are required to submit their Bank Statements detailing their banking transactions since January 2020 till date. Many Teachers are still wondering what the Agenda of Governor Abdulraham is to have requested for Banks statement
The first Screenings conducted was contracted to Members of Kwara State House of Assembly who were mobilised with hundreds of Millions naira Taxpayers money to all the sixteen local government areas . The report of that screening up till today have not been made public as it seems government failed to achieve anything tangible in that Screening .
How AA government think some of Assembly members who do not go to school and who cannot even express themselves in simple elementary English language will be the best persons to screen our Teachers at the grassroot is still a surprise to many kwarans .
In the second screening, the Government earmarked undisclosed sum of Money and employ a consultant who helped it conduct the second screening, up till today , kwarans are yet to be briefed on report of that screening and Taxpayers money for was used in drafting consultants to schools across the state .
The most annoying part of the story is that in each of these screenings, the BIOMETRIC CAPTURING done by immediate past Government of Alhaji Abdulfatai Ahmed , (MAIGIDA) is being used as templates .
Teachers across the state have been testifying that there is no other screenings that can be as comprehensive, as transparent and as result oriented like the one they did under Maigidas Administration. What exctaly is Abdulrazaq looking for in these Screening, is he looking for ways to sack all our SUBEB Teachers whom he believed were employed under the past Administration so he can replace them with APC/AAP members ?
Be that as it may , this is wasting of taxpayers money, conducting 3 different screenings which are not yielding any meaningful result and yet the govt is still hell bent .
To me , I feel the best Abdulrazaq can do to encourage our teachers is to consider increasing their salaries and take home allowances instead of this Chasing of shadow.
