La Liga: Mbappé scores first Los Blancos hat-trick as Real Madrid thrash Valladolid

Kylian Mbappé scored his first hat-trick for Real Madrid as they thrashed Real Valladolid 3-0 at the Estadio José Zorrilla on Saturday night.

The Frenchman has now taken his tally to 15 goals in 21 league matches for the Spanish giants, as the club remains 10 points clear of arch-rivals Barcelona, who have a game in hand.

Mbappé opened the scoring in the 30th minute after exchanging a one-two pass with Jude Bellingham, burying the ball into the bottom corner of the net.

The 26-year-old Frenchman doubled Madrid’s lead in the 57th minute after being set up by Rodrygo, calmly slotting the ball past Karl Hein.

The league leaders dominated the match from start to finish.

Following a VAR check and a red card for Mario Martín, Madrid were awarded a penalty, which Mbappé converted with ease, sending Hein the wrong way to complete his hat-trick.

With Vinícius Júnior suspended, Brahim Díaz and Rodrygo occupied the flanks for Los Blancos.

Real Madrid now sit firmly at the top of the La Liga table with 49 points, further solidifying their lead.
