Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars have joined forces to create magic, and the world can’t get enough of it.

Their song Die With A Smile has officially become the fastest track to hit 1 billion streams in Spotify history, achieving this in just 96 days.

This marks Lady Gaga’s seventh track to cross the billion-stream threshold on Spotify and Bruno Mars’s sixteenth.

A record-breaking collab

The song represents the first time Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars have worked together, blending Gaga’s soaring vocals with Mars’s soulful, pop-infused sound.

The duo explained that the track’s uplifting message about finding joy and strength in tough times deeply resonates with them—and evidently, with their fans too.

The collaboration feels like a perfect match, and its success speaks for itself. Not only has the track dominated streaming platforms, but it has also secured two Grammy nominations for the 2025 awards: Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

For Gaga, Die With A Smile adds another notch to an already impressive Spotify record that includes hits like:

On the other hand, Bruno Mars continues to build his reputation as one of Spotify’s most-streamed artists, cementing his place in pop music royalty.

Chart-topping triumph

Beyond Spotify, the track has proven to be a global sensation. It peaked at number two on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart, while topping charts in over 18 countries. It also ruled the Billboard Global 200 for weeks, making it the longest-running global hit of 2024.

The song has achieved Platinum status in multiple countries, and its music video, with over 300 million views on YouTube, has left fans mesmerised with its stunning visuals and emotional storytelling.
