A 30-year-old lade, Fatima Lawali, has been nabbed by operatives of the Federal Investigation Bureau and Special Tactical Squad of the Inspector General of Police in collaboration with operatives of the Zamfara State Police Command.

Lawali was nabbed with 991 rounds of AK-47 live ammunition, which she was allegedly conveying to bandits.

According to the Commissioner, Zamfara State Police Command, Ayuba Elkanah, who paraded her and other suspects on Friday, Lawali, a native of Kaura Namoda Local Government Area, was nabbed in Gada Biyu area of Bungudu LGA of the State.

Elkanah said she supplies bandits in Zamfara, Sokoto, Kebbi, Kaduna, Katsina and Niger States.

The team that nabbed Lawali on October 25, 2021 at about 9:30am, was headed by a Deputy Superintendent of Police, Hussaini Gimba, who is the Tactical Operation Unit of the State Police Command.

The CP said the consignment that was found in her possession was being conveyed to a notorious bandits kingpin, Ado Alero, who has been terrorising Zamfara and neighbouring states.

He said investigation was in progress.
