LG poll: More prominent Rivers citizens hail exercise as ex-Army Chief commends Fubara

Retired Lieutenant General Kenneth Minimah, former Chief of Army Staff, has joined other prominent citizens of the state in commending Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara for the smooth and successful conduct of the local government elections held on October 5, 2024.

In a statement released on Sunday, Minimah praised Fubara’s determination in ensuring the elections were carried out seamlessly, describing the process as a major achievement for the state.

“I wish to praise Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara for the seamless conduct of the local government elections and his resolve in ensuring the elections took place,” Minimah said.

Minimah also encouraged Fubara to remain steadfast in his efforts to advance the state’s development, while urging politicians to prioritize the welfare of their constituents.

“This development and the successful local government elections signify Governor Fubara’s administration’s commitment to the people at the grassroots,” Minimah added.

Additionally, he praised the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission and the people of Rivers for their roles in ensuring the peaceful and orderly conduct of the elections.
