Man dies after falling from 45 storey-building in London

A man has died after falling from a 46-storey Tower in Central London, the City of London Police have confirmed.

The incident occurred on Thursday.

According to MyLondon, offices in Bishopsgate were put on lockdown as emergency services rushed to the scene following the incident in the afternoon.

The unidentified man fell from a height in Houndsditch.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers. The death is not being treated as suspicious. Emergency services were called to the scene at 2pm.

Spokesperson, City of London Police, said sadly, “we can confirm that a man died following a fall from height in Houndsditch, EC2N, yesterday.

“His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers. The man’s death is being treated as non-suspicious and officers are continuing with their investigation.”

MyLondon, also quoted a London Ambulance Service spokesperson as saying that “We were called at 2.02pm today (17 November) to reports of an incident on Bishopsgate, City of London. We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, medics in two fast response cars and a clinical team leader.”
