Mercy Aigbe: Kazim Adeoti’s wife Funsho speaks again
Funsho Adeoti, the first wife of movie producer Kazim Adeoti has accused him of robbing Peter to pay Paul following his marriage to Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, the woman said that she was not bothered about who he marries but robbing Peter to pay Paul is not okay.
“He can marry whoever he wants I don’t care but robbing Peter to pay Paul is not okay,” she wrote on her Insta Story.
This is not the first time Funsho is publicly reacting to Kazim’s marriage to Mercy.
She first spoke in an Instagram post on January 24 saying, “Losing someone who doesn’t respect you or appreciates you is actually a gain not a loss. Thank you all.”
Mercy Aigbe sparked controversy after revealing Kazim popularly known as Adekaz as her husband on January 23.
Many social media critics accused the actress of breaking up the movie producer’s marriage to his wife.
She, however, stated that as a Muslim, Kazim has the right to marry more than one wife and she did not break Funsho’s home.
Speaking to Punch, Mercy insisted that she did not break up their relationship, while also clearing the air on Kazim’s relationship with her ex-husband Lanre Gentry.
She also cleared the air on Kazim’s relationship with her ex-husband Lanre Gentry, insisting they were never friends.
She said, “They were never family friends as speculated by Funsho and what is been peddled on social media. The picture (in question) was taken in 2013 during Adekaz’s fortieth birthday, and I was still married to Gentry then. I attended the event with my then-husband. My husband is a Muslim and he is allowed to have more than one wife. I did not break his marriage to Funsho.”
