Tito Jackson, a member of the famous Jackson 5 music group, passed away on Sunday, September 15 at the age of 70. He was part of the original group with his brothers Michael, Jermaine, Jackie, and Marlon.
Tito’s death was first reported by Entertainment Tonight, citing his friend Steve Manning. Manning said Tito likely died from a heart attack while driving on a road trip, though the official cause is still unknown. Tito’s nephew, Siggy Jackson, also confirmed the news to People magazine.
The musician had been actively performing music with his brothers Marlon and Jackie as The Jacksons, including a recent show in England just last week. As per Variety, they also performed in Los Angeles at the Fool in Love Festival on August 31.
In addition to his work with The Jacksons, Tito had also been pursuing a solo career as a blues guitarist, playing many shows and recording music over the past 20 years, both on his own and with the BB King Blues Band. (Zoom)
