Mourinho plots shock move for Garnacho as Man United bomb squad crumbles

Jose Mourinho is on a mission and his first target is Manchester United rebel Alejandro Garnacho.

The former United boss, now in charge of Turkish giants Fenerbahce, is reportedly ready to go all out to rescue the 21-year-old winger from the cold as the Red Devils’ infamous “bomb squad” starts to implode.

Garnacho, once tipped as the next big thing at Old Trafford, has been cast aside by new manager Ruben Amorim alongside Jadon Sancho, Tyrell Malacia, and Antony, all of whom were left behind while the rest of the squad toured the US.

While Marcus Rashford has already escaped the chaos with a loan move to Barcelona, Garnacho’s future remains uncertain, but not for long if Mourinho gets his way.

According to Turkish outlet Milliyet, Fenerbahce are “ready to push all limits” to bring the fiery Argentine to Istanbul. United, however, have slapped a hefty £50–70 million price tag on him, a figure many clubs are unwilling to match given Garnacho’s recent controversies.

The winger sparked backlash in May after throwing a tantrum over his Europa League final snub, openly criticising Amorim and questioning the club’s decisions. His behaviour during United’s post-season tour, including shoving a fan and mocking the trip on Instagram only made things worse.

Now, Mourinho is ready to swoop in, offering Garnacho a fresh start and a chance to relight his career fire away from the Premier League spotlight.

But he’s not alone. Chelsea, Tottenham, and Aston Villa are also sniffing around, while Atletico Madrid, Napoli, and Bayer Leverkusen continue to monitor the situation.
