Good news, Queen Sono hive! Netflix has renewed the show for a second season. Queen Sono became the toast of conversations heralding Netflix’s original African content revival, an Afro-spy drama with South African actress Pearl Thusi as the lead star and Kagiso Lediga as showrunner.
The first season had adrenaline-pumping action scenes and gritty explosions, and it’s great that we would get to see Thusi continue to be badass. There’s no release for the next installment of Queen Sono, but we love that Thusi is just as excited as we are.
